Established in 2013 and expanded in 2015, Raven’s Nest covers almost 5,000 acres (almost 7.5 sq. miles). It consists of rolling shortgrass prairie, seasonal creeks and gullies, a several mile perennial stretch of Rule Creek, and gorgeous Dakota sandstone outcroppings. The property offers properties for quite a lot of herptiles, birds, mammals, invertebrates, and native crops. Redbud Valley presents a rugged one mile trail that takes hikers through a variety of habitats, ranging from flood-plain forest and shady north-facing slopes to limestone bluffs and dry upland forest.
